My Approach

Evidence-Based

You deserve more than “just talking.” With carefully chosen, research-supported methods, our work is focused on real change, shorter term when possible, clear direction always.

Collaborative

This is your life. I bring psychological expertise, you bring your story, your goals, your wisdom. Together we build resilience, increase your capacity, and prepare you to face whatever comes next with strength, not just survival.

Diagnostic Clarity

When you’ve been in therapy but still don’t feel different, it’s often because we haven’t yet uncovered what’s really going on. I’ll help clarify the diagnosis so we can get you working on the right thing, and finally head in the direction of progress.

About Dr. Ana

“I’m a mom, a USAF Veteran, and a licensed clinical psychologist In California specializing in trauma recovery and reproductive mental health. My work is rooted in both clarity and compassion—understanding what’s really happening beneath the surface and using practical, evidence-based methods to help you move forward.

I’ve worked with hundreds of adults navigating PTSD, complex trauma, and major life transitions. Many of my clients come to me after years in therapy without real progress. Together, we clarify what’s been missed, identify patterns, and use focused, research-supported treatments that finally bring relief.

I’m equally passionate about supporting new parents through the emotional shifts of pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. Whether you’re adjusting to a new identity, coping with anxiety or depression, or trying to feel like yourself again, therapy can help you find balance and confidence.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. You’ll always know why we’re doing what we’re doing, and each session moves you closer to feeling grounded and capable in your life again.

In addition to my clinical work, I’ve conducted research on trauma, resilience, and grit, and I co-host Not Your Mother’s Therapist, a podcast exploring the real challenges of modern parenthood in America today.”

FAQ

  • First things first, it’s okay to be nervous. We'll start with a free consultation to determine if we'll make great collaborators.

  • I’m an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. This allows us to focus on your care, not insurance restrictions or session limits.

However, many clients receive partial reimbursement from their insurance company for out-of-network therapy. I’ll provide a superbill (an itemized receipt) that you can submit for reimbursement.

  • I’m a fully virtual provider offering secure online therapy to clients throughout California. Virtual sessions allow you to access high-quality care from the comfort and privacy of your own space—no commute, no waiting rooms, just focused support that fits into your life.
